Wolfi's Cycling Academy - Cookie Notice

This Cookie Notice explains how the Wolfi's Cycling Academy booking portal at https://wolfiscyclingacademy.ae (the "Portal") uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

1. What Cookies Are

A "cookie" is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a website remember information about your visit — for example, that you are signed in. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage in your browser, which work in a comparable way.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use two categories of cookies and similar technologies:

• Strictly-necessary cookies, which make the Portal work and keep your Account secure; and
• Analytics cookies, which help us understand how the Portal is used so that we can find and fix problems and improve the service.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Because the strictly-necessary cookies are required to provide a service you have requested (signing in and using the Portal), we do not ask for separate consent before setting them. Our legal basis for setting strictly-necessary cookies is the performance of our contract with you (our Terms and Conditions) and our legitimate interest in keeping the Portal secure.

Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary, so we only set them with your consent. When you first visit the Portal we show you a cookie banner where you can choose "Accept all" or "Reject analytics". We do not set any analytics cookies, and we do not send any analytics data, unless and until you choose "Accept all". If you reject analytics — or simply do not respond — no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time (see Section 7).

3. Cookies We Set

Authentication token (JWT session cookie):

• Type: Strictly necessary.
• Purpose: Keeps you signed in to your Account after you log in, and lets the Portal call our backend on your behalf. The cookie is marked HttpOnly (not readable by JavaScript), Secure (only sent over HTTPS in production) and SameSite=Strict (only sent on requests to our own site).
• Duration: Up to 24 hours from sign-in, or until you sign out (whichever is sooner). The token does not extend on activity — once issued, it expires after the period set at issuance and you will be asked to sign in again.

When you sign out, we instruct your browser to delete this cookie and we revoke the underlying token on our side so that it cannot be reused.

Analytics cookies and storage (PostHog):

• Type: Analytics / performance. Optional — set only if you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner.
• Purpose: We use PostHog, a product-analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the Portal — for example which pages are viewed, how the booking flow performs, and where errors occur — so that we can fix problems and improve the service.
• What it stores: When you accept analytics cookies, PostHog stores a randomly-generated identifier and related settings in your browser (as a cookie and/or in local storage). This identifier lets PostHog recognise repeat visits from the same browser so that usage can be measured accurately. It does not contain your name or contact details.
• Data handling: Analytics requests are routed first through our own domain and are processed by PostHog as our service provider (data processor) in the European Union.
• Duration: PostHog cookies last up to 12 months from your last visit. You can clear them at any time (see Section 7).
• If you do not consent: we set none of these cookies and collect no analytics data. Strictly-necessary cookies are unaffected and the Portal continues to work normally.

Cookie-preference cookie:

• Type: Strictly necessary.
• Purpose: Records whether you chose "Accept all" or "Reject analytics" in the cookie banner, so that we honour your choice and do not show the banner again on every visit. It contains only that preference.
• Duration: Up to 12 months, or until you clear it.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The Portal does not set third-party advertising cookies and does not perform cross-site tracking.

The analytics cookies described in Section 3 are provided by PostHog, which acts as our service provider (data processor). Analytics requests are routed through our own domain, so these cookies are set in our name rather than as classic third-party cookies; PostHog only processes analytics data on our instructions. These cookies are set only if you accept analytics in our cookie banner.

If you proceed to the checkout flow for a paid Booking, you may be taken to (or shown an embedded page from) our payment service provider. The payment provider may set its own cookies on its own page in order to process the payment safely (for example, for fraud prevention and 3-D Secure authentication). Those cookies are controlled by the payment provider, not by us, and are governed by the payment provider's own privacy and cookie notices.

5. Browser Storage

In addition to the cookie above, the Portal may use your browser's local or session storage to hold small, non-sensitive pieces of state that help the booking flow work smoothly (for example, the step you are on in a multi-step form, or temporary form values you have entered but not yet submitted). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us as a tracking signal.

6. Do Not Track Signals

The Portal does not perform cross-site tracking or set advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner. In addition, our analytics tool is configured to respect the browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal: if your browser sends a DNT signal, no analytics data is collected even if you have not yet responded to the cookie banner. Strictly-necessary cookies are required for the Portal to function and are not affected by DNT signals.

7. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

• view the cookies set for a site;
• block all cookies, or block third-party cookies;
• delete cookies when you close the browser; and
• delete cookies manually at any time.

If you block or delete the authentication cookie described in Section 3, the Portal will not work properly: you will be signed out, and you will not be able to make or view Bookings until you sign in again.

To change your decision about analytics cookies, clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings (using the guidance below) and then reload the Portal. The cookie banner will appear again so that you can make a new choice. Withdrawing consent does not affect analytics data already collected while consent was in place.

8. Changes to this Cookie Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time, in particular if we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones. Where the changes are material we will notify you by email and/or by a notice in the Portal. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Cookie Notice shows when it was last amended.
